The leader of our pack

Talk about doing work you love. Julia Frink has always been passionate about dogs. She loves being outdoors. It made sense to combine the two: start a dogwalking business in San Francisco. So she founded dogwalks.com in May, 1999 (who she bribed to get the great URL, we still don't know).

Julia is a Dogtec-certified dog walking professional, Pet First Aid and Wellness instructor, and keeps up-to-date on dog training and behavior. She earned a degree in economics from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo.

Sancho Panza, our dedicated co-founder
~08-13-1997 – 04-09-2010

In 1999 Julia rescued the sweetest dog in the world. He was about 1 year old and in bad shape - thin and weak with a healing broken leg. But as these things go, it was love at first sight and Julia brought him home. She named him Sancho Panza in reference to the tour business she had at the time - taking people on Flamenco, food and wine tours to Spain.

Inspired by Sancho, 10 months later Julia started her dog walking business. She really considers him a co-founder. Sancho is Julia's constant and loyal companion, following her everywhere, watching over the pack and keeping things in order. And although Sancho is getting older, he's in amazing shape, still chasing birds at the beach, looking for rodents and most off all, catching flies.
